On September 11, 2001, there was an attack on America.

There are some men that decided that they didn’t like what America stands for: freedom, liberty, and the rights of men and women of all races, backgrounds, and beliefs. So on the morning of September 11, 2001, they hijacked four planes and attacked America in a terrible way.

Two of the airplanes were crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City. The third plane was crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. The last plane was going to crash into another building in Washington, D.C., but the passengers stopped the hijackers, and the plane crashed into a field instead.

Thousands of people lost their lives through these attacks. Hundreds of people were on the planes. Thousands died in the buildings that were hit by those planes. The men that arranged this terrible attack want Americans to feel afraid and disorganized. They want to make people who live in this country do what they say by threatening us. Basically they’re big bullies.

The people of the United States are a strong group of people. Keep faith in who you are and what our country stands for and we will become even stronger than before.

He's a bit grumpy today but doing good. The speech therapist fed him at 2:00. The nurse told us the therapist will check out Luis' sucking pattern and recommends methods of improving his feedings. The therapist will probably be seeing him every other day.

We went in to see Luis today, his Aunt Nora held him for a while, he really likes her.

Luis is up to 4lbs 8.3oz and is doing well on his oxygen. We spoke with the head doctor in his area. He told us that Luis may very well come home on a small amount of oxygen. He also said if Luis doesn't take all his bottles he may have come home with a tube in his side so we can feed him when he don't drink all his milk from bottles.

Luis did well with this mornings feeding. It took him about 5 minutes before he got into a pattern suck and after that he did really well, drank the whole thing.

He's been mostly on 21% oxygen. She put him up to 30% during the feeding.

He's getting his two vaccines right now (11:15 am). Today he gets Polio and Prevanor.

Luis is doing good. He is up to 4 bottles a day. He had his eye exam today and it's the same as before (stage 2, the doctor said that was good). He weighs 4lbs 5oz. and has been on 21% oxygen since yesterday.
