Today Luis is off his monitor. Luis is a REAL boy now. No more tubes or wires. He is doing great. Mommy found out she can work part time for a while. She gets to spend more time with Luis, lucky girl.

This is the website of Luis Thomas Gallant. Luis was born on June 16th, 2001 at 24 weeks gestation. Luis was 1.42 lbs and was 11 7/8 inches long making him a micro preemie. After 4 months in the hospital and 6 months home on oxygen, Luis has grown up a healthy active child. Luis' BlogThursday, December 27th, 2001weight: 11 lbs 4 oz Tuesday, December 18th, 2001Weight: 10lbs 8oz Height: 21 1/4 Inches Luis is off his oxygen completly today. :-) The doctor is very happy with his progress, He said that Luis is progressing just what they wanted him to do. The doctor has also said that Luis will be off his monitor completely as of January 1st, 2002. Happy New Year!!! Wednesday, November 28th, 2001Weight: 10lbs Monday, November 12th, 2001Weight: 9lbs 2oz Thursday, November 8th, 2001Weight: 8lbs 12oz Height: 19 inches Luis is in the 25 percentile for his weight and the 5 percentile for his height (shorty). He gets that from his mother. hehe Luis had a doctors appointment today. Luis' weight shows less then the weight at the daycare center. We don't think this is right. Someones scale might be off. hehe Luis had four vaccines today. They were
Polio, HIB, DTP and hepatitis. These were his second set of vaccines.
Luis' hernias have gone away and his little belly button (which we thought was another hernia) is ok and is normal for preemies. Tuesday, November 6th, 2001Luis smiled for Mommy today for the very first time. Well at least the first time for a reason. He would (on occasion) smile in his sleep, but not when we played with him. |
