This is the website of Luis Thomas Gallant. Luis was born on June 16th, 2001 at 24 weeks gestation. Luis was 1.42 lbs and was 11 7/8 inches long making him a micro preemie. After 4 months in the hospital and 6 months home on oxygen, Luis has grown up a healthy active child. Luis' BlogAfter a long night, Luis came home with use this morning. Luis has an assortment of gizmos that came home with him. 3 sizes of oxygen tank and a machine to monitor his breathing and heart rate. This is a day to remember. Friday, September 28th, 2001Luis is doing good this morning. He drank 70cc at his 8:00am feeding and has been drinking between 55cc and 70cc all night. They will put him in his car seat today for an hour or so and see how well he will holds up on the trip home. We have found a pediatrician for Luis this morning and have an appointment for Tuesday October 9th at 9:45 am. His name is Dr Jerry Bridgham (He is also Ariana's new pediatrician). Weight: 6lbs 3oz Luis received his RSV shot today. This is like a flu to big people but for preemies it is a serious disease. Wednesday, September 26th, 2001Weight: 6lbs 0.5oz |
